Going for a Quick Visit to Mars

OK, not really. But I am going to the Mars Desert Research Station today to meet the MDRS 89 crew headed by Brian Shiro, who is one of the inspirations I had to start my Spacepirations blog.

I have a much shorter trip than one to Mars would entail - 7 hours of driving through beautiful Colorado and Utah.

During the weekend, when I'm back, I'll upload photos as well as my first-hand impressions of what simulating Mars is all about.

Update: It has taken me more than I imagined to compile all my thoughts to a blog post, but finally I did...

Dear Amnon,
Looking forward to hearing about your visit to the MDRS. Please write soon. After being there with Crew-88 for two weeks I followed Brian and crew. I was very happy to hear that you had a chance to visit with your twin sons. Heard that they liked climbing all the ladders. Please post your thoughts in detail including pictures. Looking forward to it. Take care.

Between training, work and gathering my thoughts it took me longer than I expected, but I finally published it this morning.
